Get yourself a DIY kit and have at it , you will learn figuring out what works best for you. RT Gold valve is the most common but there are others also.

Try the Shim Program site.

fn,

Here is the bible on chassis design
http://www.mx-tech.com/features/book/book.asp

Both MX-Tech and Racetech have courses you can attend as well. Both are worth every penny.

And the DIY kits are ok (don't really tell you why), the RT site for a list of tools needed for your bike is good. The shop manual for your bike is a good source.

Jeremy is one of the most accessible guys in the business and always very helpful.
