Hi, I bought my 98 KDX 220 used out of Japan. It was used probably for light trails and commuting. It differs from the US version as it comes with indicator & brake lights, Oil pump rather than premix, and passenger pegs. Also with 42/13 sprockets.
Anyway, I have changed sprockets to 50/13, added a FMF Gnarly pipe, boyessen reeds and I knife edged the lower transfer ports. Now it rides like a dream.
In posts on jetting I am seeing recomendations of pilot 45 or 42 and main of 155. I am not sure of the size of my carb, it has stamped on the side V984 B1F2 and comes pilot 45 and main 123. Plug readings look perfect. Gas milage excellent. Should I mess with the main jet at all?
