CR85 to 125

I got a chance to ride a friends kx125 at my track yesterday and its really not like anythin i expected. The suspension was ok, it soaked up the bumps a lot better cause its a bigger bike, but i didnt like the power on it. I think it might be that i didnt like it cause compared to my 85, the 125 didnt feel like it really pulled at all, it was all just smooth power. What i noticed was it didnt feel like i was going fast, but i noticed i was going just as fast as i am on my 85. I guess with how it soaked up the bumps and the power delivery, you didnt have to use as much muscle to go fast. Im short, 5' 3",but i fit ok on it leanin to the side a bit. I think id do better with teh seat shaved a little,or the footpegs raised a bit though, the seat would hit my ass every now and then.

so what are ya saying should you get a 125?
if i were you id get the 250 model , i seen a kid looked to be sized for an 80 riding the 250 experts throwing huge 1 handed whips putting it on em . i'll not forget this soon it was sweeeeeet and i was one of the guys hes putting it on

oh, im basically saying i didnt like the 125. It didnt feel any faster than my 85, it was just a little smoother over the bumps...Im goin for the 06' 250sxf

i kinda felt the same way about going to a 125 twostroke from my KX100. theres not a whole lot of power difference, its mostly just the size. sometimes i want to jump to a 250 two stroke from my bike but thats one BIG transition. im not completely set on the whole 250 four strokes mainly becuase of the cost and the fact that in cali you cant ride em for 1/2 the year.

my friends kx125 is the same way. BORING ENGINE. try other makes or get the 250. I thought about getting a 250 after my rm125 but i bought a cr500 and couldnt be happier. It never runs out of power, ever!!!!!!! I'm a small guy, 5'7 140lbs so go big is my advice.
