This is another of my fantasy questions I ask myself. If I could pick any 5 bikes to have what would they be? Here are my fantasy five:

Dang, who set the limit at 5?

I have six in my garage right now, and only one is capable of being put on the street. Nevermind the two more that are awaiting restoration ...

1971 Penton ISDT 125
1971 DKW 125 with a leading link front end

both awaiting restoration and a shop to do it in ...

but if I have to limit it to five ...

Any Knucklehead rigid Hog with a springer front end (Saturday evening ride)
KTM 950 Adventure (Saturday day and Sunday morning discovery ride)
CR500AF (Oh my God ... what have I done ride)
CRF 250X JR (Oh my God ... my feet touch woods bike)
KTM 200EXC (Oh **** ... here come the trees bike)

As my mini is small enough that most people would not count it ... I don't, although it oh so much FUN!!!

*MV Augusta Tamburini...incredibly beautiful Italian bike
*Husqvarna 100th Anniversary Edition 450 (its a $10,000+ works lookin bike)
*KTM 250EXC...really any 05 KTM two stroke is a slice of heaven
*BBR CR85 Big Wheel/150...blinged out of course

Can't leave this bike off of the list...the 82 Honda Works 250's, such a totally trick bike, really changed MX bikes for good

you picked some good bikes!!! and one very very scary one I'm sure (the nsr)...the rc30 is a sweet bike, I saw one at chappral one time, they are tiny looking... It was so compact, it had the red white and blue paint job and double head lights, and single sided swingarm, very nice choice

4- RZ500 or RZ350 (two stroke street bikes RULE!)
5- decked out Harley dresser with a killer stereo, lots of luggage room, and a BIG engine
6- Buell XB12S (1st alternate)
7- Yammy FZ1 (2nd alternate)
8- tricked out, street legal, KDX220 (3rd alternate)

Getting the bikes is the easy part. Finding the time to ride is the buzz killer.

the 1st 5 were hard to pick,you realise how many real nice bikes are out there,and I sat for over 45mins debating out of all my faves,what one? whats usefull,whats fun etc.

A sweet bobber style rigid chopper from Exile Choppers...the baddest bike built...and it HAS to be all black...no chrome...even the motor black
KTM 250 xcw(great trails bike..still 2 stroke)
a 125 four stroke for my wife(don't care on the brand)

If i were able to have a sixth...
a Yamaha Banshee 350....two-stroke AND a twin....quite a machine they are. fast little punks

I would like 5 more though:
1. GasGas EC300
2. Honda XR650R Dualsport
3. Husqvarna SMR450RR
4. BMW R1200GS Adventure
now this is the best

5. Yamaha RD500 V4 frankensteined into a custom deltabox chassis with a nice set of jolly moto exhaust and some engine work.
Or I'd just take one of Doohan's Honda Repsol NSR 500 bikes

That should cover most every aspect from racing to sport touring, to dual-sport, to enduro, to motocross.
