jeremy I have a 2003 200sx. The fork fluid and springs have been changed (all the metal shavings from break in were flushed out). Lately I've been noticing a small amount of fork oil around the right fork cap. I can't tell exactly where it's coming from and everything seems to be correct. Any ideas

Who changed the oil? I'll bet dollars to donuts they poured oil down the center of the cartridge rod (where the rebound adjuster rod goes).
BIG no-no! The only way to stop the leak now is to dis-assemble and wash out the tube.

My buddy and I changed the oils. He too has an 03 200sx. The other day he started noticing the same thing on the top of his fork tube also. We found that for some reason the base valves were loose on the fork legs of both bikes. Upon tightening them all up the oil residue has stopped. I don't know if this is common on these forks or not. The base valves hadn't been touched on either of the bikes before.

Uh....I'd say the whole assembly is out of whack. If your base valves were loose, and your rebound adjusters were leaking......find an expert before someone gets hurt.
