Looking To Buy A Hitch Mount Carrier

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Does anybody have the type that has the pressure bar that goes over the seat holding the bike in place? Does any one know of a local (michigan) manufacturer?

I have a hitch mount called the "moto jack rack". I love it. No pressure bar over the seat, just clamps that hold through the foot pegs. I like it because it keeps all pressure off the suspension and gives you full access for working on the wheels while the bike is in the up position.

I have just the type that straps down using 4 straps. I have never had any trouble trouble with it, I think it rocks. It took a little bit of time to figure out how to do it without the wifes help, but I have it down. I put a fork saver in the front and have never had a problem, I have tried to get the bike to pop out from under the straps and thankfully have had never had it happen. I was a little leary of the system at first, but I have no qualms about it know. As a matter of fact I am going to take my bike from A.R. to N.Y. about 1100 miles with it strapped to the back of my truck.

The Ultimate MX Hauler http://www.ultimatemxhauler.com/product.php is basically the same thing as a MJR at about the same price. Since MJR doesn't appriciate any negative feedback I'd suggest the Ultimate MX Hauler.

Any negative feedback I have ever had with my MJR, has always been solved with one phone call. I've had mine for 5 years, and only had to replace a few bolts.
The Ultimate MX carrier looks like a copy of the MJR, but those wing nuts securing the footpeg clamps look like a problem.

Just my 2 cents

It too had an MJR and it worked fine. My point is that instead of dealing with complaints issued in a forum setting they make threats to have the post removed. I lost all respect when that happened and would promote the similar product in the hopes that company would address the same issue in a more professional manner.
