What other year CR fork seals will fit my YZ?

I've got a 2000 YZ 250 and have very easy access to a Honda dealer. I remember putting CR seals in my old YZ and they worked well. The dealer days 1996 CR250 seals will fit in my bike. Is he right?

Any year bike of any brand that ran 46mm KYB's would work.

I ran 2001 cr125 seals in my 99 yz 125. The cool thing was that the Honda seals came with the wipers too.
