I have had my 05 Honda CRF450x for about two months. I'm a beginner ridder, I right 50% time at the track and 50% of the time trail riding. I'm 6' 1' 245 pounds. I can tell already that my front springs and rear shock need to be upgraded. Any suggestions on which brands work best for this bike? Any idea on what size springs I need? Any help will be appreciated.

go to www.racetech.com
they have a spring rate calculator, you enter your weight etc and it tells you what spring rates you should have and of course offers to sell you new springs. I don't think there is a noticable difference between different brands of springs. When you install new springs be aware that you will probably need to add a little more re-bound damping.
