subaru baja- will two bikes fit with gate down?

I am thinking of getting a new car/truck, and I saw the Subaru Baja. It's the ugly one that looks like a car with a truck bed. I know its pretty wierd looking, but it seems pretty practical. All wheel drive, turbo power, good gas mileage, four doors, yet it is not a huge behemoth to drive and park.
ANYWAY... I was wondering if a bike of two would fit in the bed of the Baja with the talegate down. The bed doesn't look long enough. By the way, I have an '03 KX250 and my buddy has an '04 KDX220 if that matters.

measure it then measure from the front of your front tire to the rear axle nut on your bike

Well, I was just trying to see if anyone knew if a bike would fit off the top of their head. I know that could measure the bike then travel to the dealer and measure the bed, but I was just trying to see if anyone out there already knew. Let me know if you own one of these vehicles or if someone you know has one that fits bikes. It doesn't quite look long enough for a bike. Thanks. -Todd

Well it doesn't look to be long enough for full size bikes but you could always go mini!

what you can do is you have a bike ramp that both wheels will fit on at the same time is to have bothe wheels in the ramp. with the front wheel in the ramp and straped into the car, and the back straped to the ramp (so it will not come off of it) you should be able to carry a bike in the back of the car.
