if u bought a used cr250 what should the first thing u do to the suspesnion be? should u always set your bike for ur own body size? does it take a long time to do so??

im 6' 160lbs so is stock setting good?

First thing to do is get a pen and notepad to record everything. Next, adjust the rear spring on your shock to your weight. You need roughly 100mm of sag from on the stand to when you are sitting on the bike. I personally like to set mine when I am standing straight up and down on the pegs, but that is just me. I feel it gives an exact same reading every time that way. Some say ride position. Then, look at where your clickers are. Turn them clockwise to the hardest, but make sure you count the clicks, and put them back to where they started. Then report what you have back here, and I am sure someone will give you a good stock setting. After that, there are other things you can do, but those are some good basic starting points. Good luck

The stock spring are good for you. Here are the stock settings for the forks. 13C/15R clicks out from full hard. The shock has dots punched into it.
