Kawasaki recommends 32-1 . I changed to 40-1. would going to 50-1 hurt it any.

Depends on the type of premix oil you use... I'm pretty simple minded about the whole thing and so I use 32:1 no matter what (right now I use Redline 2-Stroke Synthetic), but I have seen a tremendous range of ratios...

Check the KDX Configurations thread to see what others are using (sure I created it

) and if you have time, put your config in there so we can build a good source of info for everyone...

There are those here who use 50:1 and the pistion speed is pretty slow on the 220 so you should be OK with a quality oil that advertises this ratio. But why ? 40:1 is safe and you are not going to save much money in oil costs between the two. It wall also make your engine run richer, so you may beed to rejet, depending on your present jetting.
