Cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good,
Now, cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good,
When the levee breaks, mama, you got to move.

That was actually a blues song from the 1930's.

isnt' it interesting looking at that picture all the roads are "dry" while the buildings are in the water.

Yeah, when you build everything below sea level (how retarded is that?), you damn sure better raise the roads, at least now they can get in there.

The inevitable has arrived

Posted by: D Lafleur---------------------

The roads arent as dry as they seem either. The whole place is a basket case.

hey first time my fave. band has been mentioned on this place. Yeah its sort of stupid how they built the city

Posted by: SpDyKen---------------------

I memorized that song in June of 1993, while sandbagging (endlessly, it seemed) at my parents house for the only rain induced flood on the Mississippi (at least in my lifetime.) As soon as we would build to exceed the predicted crest, it would rain and they would raise the prediction. It seemed like "Groundhog Day" all over again. I reaquainted myself with all of Led Zeppelin's plagiarized blues songs that summer!

"It's the end of the world as we know it"

Posted by: D Lafleur---------------------

KDX you have said it. I really hope that FEMA's numbers are way off. Otherwise we are witnessing a disaster that will make 9/11 and the last 10 major Hurricanes look like a cake walk combined.
