If I could pay the same as the US for fuel I'd leave the car running over night so it was warm in the morning ready for work. Hell I'd probably by a petrol cooker.

It isn't the fact that we can't get the crude, it is the fact that we use so much of it. Not only that but China is a developing nation and we are competing with them for fuel, their needs have skyrocketed over the last couple of years wich is another reason for high demand. Bush is about to let some of the nations oil reserve out, I don't think it is going to anything for gas prices. It is more of a political move. If we could make more refineries we would probably see prices go down, but the conservationalist have made it so hard no one has built one since 1972. It will self correct eventually, the market will demand it. Within a few years I bet we will see full size trucks and suv's get 30-35 mpg. Simple economics, supply, demand.

If you can't see that it is regulation and restrictions that have us stiffled, then you obviously haven't investigated and are simpy listening to the liberal establishment. Some folks love to repeat ignorant crap they hear on the liberal media as if it were fact. The liberals depend on your continued support by not investigating things and simply taking what they tell you as fact. I really don't like being anyone's patsy. But I spose some of you really enjoy it. BTW...I find that conservation is possibly the single most important thing we can do to help things. |
