Dual exhaust for a single cylinder bike. I can see the big pipe companies drooling over the margin on a replacement system already.

Hughes and Kyle Lewis were testing some on 450's at Steel City apparently as well.

It looks sweet! Good thing I normally bend handlebars and don't crush mufflers! By the time I get one though, it'll probably be changed.

Sorry, but it looks like a gimmick to make more aftermarket money.

98dB apparently, that's no gimmick if it's true.
I doubt the after market companies can really charge much more for exhaust systems. The price now is just about out of reach for the average racer, any more and people won't buy them. It may cost them more to make these new ones, but they're putting such ridiculous profit margins on them now they could still make a heap of money by charging the same price for the new ones.
The silencers are fairly tucked in now, they don't look any bigger then the ones that used to come on the CR125s and how many of them ever got broken? I don't think flattening these ones is going to be a serious issue tbh. The silencers themselves are seperate to the Y piece anyway, so it's not like you're going to manage destroying both silencers and the Y, unless you're very special
.
If it cuts noise I think it's a great move by Honda.
