Didn't Langston win the first 125 moto? The AMA is reporting an Alessi win (like this spoiler), but I thought for sure Alessi came in second in the first moto.

Also, someone posted in a different thread that there was some sort of confrontation between Tedesco and Alessi after the second moto. Can anyone shed some light on that? I didn't get to listen to the second motos.

Yep.. I was there, and Tedesco and Alessi got together on the first lap of moto 2. Alessi looked as if he was pushing and shoving Tedesco when they were trying to get the bikes up. Then to make things worse, Matt Walker got tangled up in it as Tedesco was able to get going again. Alessi had a hard time starting the bike but eventually got going shortly after Walker. He (Alessi) crashed on the last lap injuring himself again though. In moto 1, Alessi totally parked Langston on a turn. From where I was sitting, it looked really juvenile....

No doubt! Very impressive. He made alot of new fans with his ride.

In the first moto, Langston, Alessi, Villapoto and Short had a nice freight train going and they put a big gap on 5th place (Walker). After a few laps, Short dropped off the pace. Villapoto stayed with Langston and Alessi all the way to the end.

Hepler came around for one lap in near last place with some badly bent bars - then he pulled off and did not race Moto 2. I never saw Millsaps at all.

Tedesco also was way back in Moto 1 and rode hard to get back up to 22nd. This left the title still open for Mike Alessi, but the KTM near the front at the start of Moto 2 was Jeff!

I feel a little bad for Alessi - He has had some real bad luck this year and still had a shot to win the title at the last moto. He's a damn good rider. He had to ride the Mule back to the pits after his Moto 2 crash.

Kyle Mace had a huge crash in practice right in front of me. Very nasty - barely crawled to the edge of the track and did not get up for like 10 minutes. Finally he got some assistance and was holding his wrist like it was broken. I thought for sure he was done for the day but he raced the 250 main.

Great to see Tortelli back - he always has textbook form. He should be a contender in the GPs next year.

And Ryno was hauling in Moto 1.

BTW, the Glen Helen track is TOUGH. Real test of man and machine.

Villopoto rode awesome he is really something... Grant was really flying both motos, and was clearing this jump that almost nobody was clearing... I think they over watered the jump face or something it was all rutted up and nasty looking... Everyone was casing it... (rc cleared it by laying his bike flat in order to have more clearance over the step up landing, it was very cool looking) I've never witnessed a motocross national before and I had the time of my life it was really great... RC is truly something, I'm so glad I was able to get out their and watch him ride... He was tripling this insane section after going over a 50 yard section of 4 foot deep whoops that were 20 feet apart, I could'nt believe he was able to have enough speed do that... He was landing on the back side of the next jump face... These jumps weren't much more than whoops themselves... I walked the track after and that gap must have been over 50 feet, it's amazing what he does, to decide to just hold it open, and clear that crazy section... Amazing!
Alesse and Tedesco came together in an area were others were making contact also... It was a racing incident with two guys going for the championship... I was disappointed with Ivan's remarks on the podium, and then with grant as well
they both called out Alesse and called him an idiot... That was lame...
I was shocked Grant was docked some seconds... He flat out smoked everyone anyway... Except for Villopoto the second moto... what a ride for that kid... Why does'nt Grant ride MX heavy weights or whatever they call that class now... awesome to see Ryno ride also, he looked solid... News was that he's got a factory Suzuki contract to race GNCC or something like that, watch out I think he's going to do awesome at that...

What is up with Alessi? I watched him at Steel City pushing over on Hepler every lap going down the table top section. Hepler was playing it safe and pulling up short on some of them to apparently avoid a collision. Now all this crap at Glenn Helen? Is he trying to steal the show from Bubba or what?

I missed the incident with Tedesco at the start of Moto 2.

Alessi is certainly an aggressive rider but I did not see him push anybody around or ride dangerously.

FWIW, Langston, Alessi, and Villapoto were battling really good for a few laps (I could not see the whole track) then Langston comes around into view WAY in front of the rest. That must have been the lap he cut the track.

Man, imagine the anger if Alessi had cut the track, or took out the leader in a last corner banzai move (like Langston did to him at Hangtown)!

Check this out from transworld interview:“Going down a long straightaway into a right-hander I was in the middle,” Tedesco said. “I think he went inside, started clicking gears and never shut off. He just aimed for me. He took us both down and I’m pretty sore from that. When I got up he was standing on top of my bike to try to keep me from getting my bike up. He was trying to push me down and stuff. It took every ounce of what I had to just not uppercut the kid under his helmet.”
