any on e that wants to go riding from the k-w area let me know. I ride any place i can right now i ride the pit in thamsford, gopher dunes in tillsonburg and a small track buy innerkip so let me know if you want to ride

Posted by: i_955---------------------

I wanna go Mike, but me legs broke.
I'll be taking my boy to the Dunes this weekend (unless Mother has some domestic plans for me) but I'm afraid the only thing I'll be riding is my crutches if we can go.

I can't even get my bike fixed because I need my hands to move the dam crutches.... And my foot is swollen like a balloon.
Helga the muscle mover over at the Physiotherapy Palace of Pain truly loves her job, or dislikes men, or both. An hour with her is worse than a life time of marriage. I can barely put my foot on the ground 2 days after a visit with her. I don’t know if I dislike her or am falling in love with her. Hehehe

I’ll be back soon and am just around the corner from you.
I sure hope you don’t have a loud pipe on that 4 banger of yours. Was at that small track you speak of on the weekend and a couple boyz with those loud bikes were told not to unload. Image getting all packed up, travel etc to find out your 4 stroke is not welcome, that would suckkkk….
I heard a rumor that the pit is only 6 riders at a time! Have you heard this?

Posted by: mike black---------------------

so how you bust your leg up? jumping? or something dumb like tripping at work?
so you know the track thats out but innerkip? some older guy's place. kinda by nicky's road house? if this is the guy. i was talken to him and he just asked that the guys just dont put loud pipes on theis bikes. and let me tell ya that i dont think that it nees any more power or noise.
i'm going out to gophers on sat with the girl frend i'll look for you. i'll have a 05 crf450r and the girl frend has a 2001 400ex. and i drive a grey doge ram 1500. well hope to see ya out their.

Posted by: mike black---------------------

hey their i_995

i was talking to a guy and he said that their is a track right near bright i dont know if he was talking about the nicky's. but i'll find out the details and let you know.

Too bad you guys are so far away.I would like to get out riding every weekend and it doesn't happen due to friends who only ride occasionally.
I was planning on going to Gopher dunes a few weeks back but then I found info saying they don't open until 11am on weekends,is that right ?

Posted by: John Cena---------------------

I was looking around but I couldn’t find Gophers hours of operation. I sent them an email asking, I’ll post there hours here. I got some money so I'm ordering $400 in parts for my bike on Monday they will probably be here by Friday, I should have Sat and Sun off next week. If anyone near me is going I have gas money for transportation

The pit is near nikkis road house? The strip bar? I was there last week

Posted by: Speedfreek---------------------

Are you ordering the low end bearings and stuff? Ordering Monday and getting them by Friday seems a bit optimistic.I hope they do come by Friday though. I haven't been out in a few weeks now.Last weekend my trailer was blocked in so I didn't get out and this weekend my knee was really hurting so I decided to pass on riding and give my knee a rest.
I-955 how is your leg doing? How much longer before you can ride again?

Posted by: John Cena---------------------

Yup i'm getting all new bearings, wiseco piston, new rear shock guard and had them put a new lower end and hot rod crank already :D OEM parts from my local Kawai dealer is always 5 days they rush ship them. Oh and here's the email reply from Gopher dunes.

"We have a CMRC race on Sun. Sept. 25; so we won't be open for practice again until 11am on Mon. Sept. 26. Next Sat. we are open 11am to 6pm and Sun. Oct. 2 we are hosting a TVR Club Race."

hey guys
i went down to gophers and found out that they were CLOSED. dam i was pissed but the gril frend and i hit the trails for awhile. still fun but $20 that hurt just for the trails i thought. they dont open till 11am too.

hey i_955
hope you never drove down ther too!!

hey john the pit is in thamsford and 15 to ride.
the track that i'm talken about is right by nicky's the strip joint. if your coming out of woodstock on hwy 2 turn left on oxford road 22 i think(its the 2ed road after the old wallmart) take the first left (gravel road) and its some house on your right its close to the road and its only $10 to ride the guy only asks that you keep your stock muffler on. its a fun track little sandy but fun.

Posted by: mike black---------------------

hey i_955

i did hear the pit is only 6 riders at a time too. dont know if that is true or not but if you heard it and i did too i would think that its true have not been there in a while

Posted by: mike black---------------------

Yo,

Sorry, been busy.

I was about to head to the Dunes but the guy I was going with backed out last minute.
Made a dozen calls and found a friend at the wee track so we (my boy & I) went there.
I had no idea the Dunes were closed for an event, but I do know that they are closed this weekend for a TVR race. So don’t go this weekend…

My boy is a beginner on a KX100 and is he ever doing great.

http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/434888/

I decided that his abilities had improved to the point where I could lean out the jetting on the 100. I tried over & over to have him do a fly-by so I could hear the motor but he would upshift and bog until out of good hearing range then let it ripppp. Little bugger.

Any how, I kicked him off it and took it for a boot. Holy-Fuke doest that thing ever go, incredible but it was very clear, my leg is another week out. Actually I better play it week-by-week, I simply can’t re-injure, the wify would mop the floor with me.

I’m able to hobble around today and have the Zed ready for a good rapin.

See yous out soon.

Yo Mike,

I took him to The Pit last year but the big kiddy track and the big KX100 were simply too much for the young fella. He has asked several times to be taken back there again now that he has matured enough as a rider. Maybe this weekend.

When we went last year, a friend showed up without his new bike, said he bought a used RM250 the night before with a broken shock so he couldn't bring it but was dying to go for a ride. I let him take the 100 around the kiddy track where he crashed HUGE-time, right in front us. He hit a little bump which bounced him off the seat and pegs. He landed on the rear fender and pinned the throttle. He wheelie like that for the entire kiddy whoop section then hit the dirt really hard. But to his credit, he did hold on, maybe a little too long as the bike basically pile drove him while trying to get away from him.. Then the tumbling began, he landed on bike, bike landed on him. To be honest I was totally entertained, I couldn’t figure who was screaming louder though, his fiancée or my son.
Well the chuckling came to an abrupt end when I saw the condition of the bike. Bent bars and not a single piece of plastic without deep scratches. He had scrapes and cuts from his shoulders to his ankles, lucky he didn’t break anything. Haven’t seen the bruised up turd since.

I had to take the KX for a quick spin after Gump’s adventure and what better place than the kiddy track.

This picture was taken in the exact spot were Gump’s adventure started. Right in front of the parking area.

i'm going to the pit on sat!! the girlfriend is going to let me!! the last time i was there i crashed big time. the track was a lot diffrent then, i was going down the back where the track goes down into a gully than there is a quick right hand turn and a hill climb of a jump. i still dont know how i crashed but some how i flew over the handle bars and the guys that were right behind me landed right on top of my bike my new bike it was like 1 month old at that time. after that i broke my ankle at a friends track which made my dad very very mad to say the least. he made me sell it in 2002 i havent rode till now!!! so ya fix your leg and lets go!! i'll be there about 11am
i'll be driving a 04 dodge with after market tail lights and tinted windows. but let me know if your going to go.

hey john cena i'm going to the pit to ride on sat if you want to go let me know and well hook up :ride

Like any good track, it is riddled with jumps.

Just when you think, hey this is just like a trail ride, BAM, a 150ft double with a bottomless pit between the take off ramp and the landing ramp. Pleasant dreams.

One good thing John, you still have your KDX.
Going to a track for the first time ever on a 250 two stroke your not familiar with could lead to a helicopter ride back to town. Respect and aggress the track and you'll make it around just fine.

I took a couple trail riders out to the track with me (I will NOT ride alone ever). One guy sold his trail bike and bought a 250MX, another couldn't make it around the track, not once. He kept falling on his face in the sandy corners. He has now insured, plated and put street tires on his dirt bike, what a fag!

Almost every single jump on the track has a path around so definitely use that if your not "doing" the jump. Rolling the ramp ****s it making it dangerous.

Apparently Johns off fishing

I like the cut of your jib, thats an awesome plan.
Your truck, how many seats? Do you normally put your bike in the back or in the trailer? I've got a kick-a$$ little aluminum trailer that holds 3 bikes, that is less than 1500lbs total, including gas & gear... Thats close to the weight of one of those steel trailers empty

Posted by: mike black---------------------

i_955

got a 2004 dodge ram 1500 reg cab long box bought it for raceing street bikes
the sv 650 got to be to expensive so i slod that and got a 400ex for the girl frend and a crf450r for my self. i can fit both in the truck at the same time. works good

Posted by: i_955---------------------

Hey Mike,

Looks like I'll be taking my boy to The Pit. I'll see you there.
I'll be the one with the aluminum trailer with 2 umbrellas for shade. I'll be parked close to the mini track.
I'll keep an eye out for ya but the tracks are full of 450 Hondas, they all look the same..

Posted by: mike black---------------------

hey i_955

i'm going to now call the pit, the mud run pit. i called a few frends and they told me that the pit is all mud now and told me not to go, so i ended up going to the dunes. the track there was good. its only been 1 month since i got my bike and i was doing well i just started to clear some of the jumps. i can do the first big one the 2ed i still got to work on the 3ed i could do the first day out than the woopes i hit hard for me felt good, than the next jump after the woops i did not go for but the one after that i could clear and than the two table tops i got down. i think that its all comming back to me now faster than i thought it would feels goooooooooood!

You Been DRINKING????
I too enjoy a couple beers after a ride to...

The pit was a mud fest in the back and a dust bowl up top!
It is true, SIX riders at a time!!!!
When we pulled in, the bikes there were black with slimy mud and then a coat of silt dust from the unwatered top part of the track. The Guys looked less than impressed. Everyone was actually riding on the Kiddy track until they kicked them back to the big track. It was soon after that, everyone packed up and left.
Near the end of the day a really fast guy showed up with an obnoxiously loud 4 stroke. I can't believe the cops didn't show up, it was that loud. I was on the kiddy track with my boy & I couldn't hear myself think. No wonder The Pit (and every other land owner) is having problems.

My boy did great. He did have a spectacular crash but reevaluated himself, jumped back on and picked it up another notch. I'm very proud of da boyyyy..

I was debating whether to go to the Dunes or The Pit. Da boy said The Pit as the one time he was there the track & bike were too much, so that's were we went. He’s never been to the Dunes either so I want to go there next weekend if its open.
I was right about the Hondas, I'd say 98% of the bikes there were aluminum CR's.

In this picture you can see how dusty the top of the track was…

Small vid clip of DaBoy (10Meg so dialup beware)

Mid point in the day, Da boy went for a lap then came in saying there was something wrong with the motor. I jumped on and went up and down the side of the pits trying to listen. Did that once, twice, I couldn’t hear anything wrong. Then I was going to do one more 2nd gear roll-on and while turning around (broken leg side) the bike ran out of gas…. Ya, I landed on my head & my leg, ouchyyyy. An ankle sprain later and she’s swollen and sore today.

Posted by: mike black---------------------

so its a good thing that i never went down to the pit eh!!
you have never been to gopher dunnes? well its all sand so just make sure you got lots of oil on your air filter!!! i know 2 guys that never put enough oil on their air filter and f-#&ed up their bike's. its a good track to learn how to slide your bike around though!! i cant go next weekend i got thanksgiving things to go to every day .
well hope your leg gets better asap
