Gripper seat repair

looking for any suggestions on how to repair a gripper seat with a tear. I just tried some black hockey tape and contact cement, but wondering if there are any other magical ways to fix a tear. Thanks

SealAll is a great product I use to lots of stuff including seat repairs. Seals almost anything including gas leaks.

Way better than GOOP.

I'm sure theres plenty of vinyl upholstery fixers but off the top of my head how about an old tire tube cut and contact cemented down?
