A lot of talk about big bores on the site. I'm wondering if anyone is putting KDX220 or KDX200 engine in KX125 frame for light weight?

Yes it is possible. There is a guy in my hometown that did it and the thing rips!

Yes, as a matter of fact, one of our listers has one. Maybe he'll share his experiences.

i built one recently,,for a friend,, a 90 kdx motor in a 99kx 125 frame
but i built this as a full conversion,, not just an engine swap,
18inch rear wheel, side stand, lights horn, mxtech enduro suspension revalve,, the list goes on and on

weighs in at 105kgs fully fueled complete with mud[less then a ktm200]
rides lovely,, so light and flickable.

a UK magazine ran a feature on it last month,, and seemed to like it.

im gonna build another one for my self,, trying to find a kdx 200 motor newer then 95
with the intention of boring it to 225
currently i have a 91 steel cr frame and a kx125 2000 frame,,
im gonna try and build it at less then 100kgs
