When you say racing...on trails or motocross? That could be a big decision factor.

well i have a few more questions than i should be able to tell you a bike that would work for you.
1. How much money do you have to spend and what year bikes are you looking at??
2. Do you want a bike that is a little small, big or something else?
3. Do you want a 2-stroke or a four? or do you not care?
4. Do you want to have to preform normal mantainence or do you want a low maintance bike?

I personally think a Kawasaki KDX200 would be a much better ride for you than the CRF230F. Either that or get a Honda CRF250X. The 150F is way too small for you.

All of those 4 strokes are HEAVY. The CRF150F is not too small for you right now, but you'll probably outgrow it quickly (size and power). Given your weight, you might think about how well you'll be able to pick up a 230-240lb. bike when you fall. A KX100 will be much lighter and easier for you to develop your skills on once you get the hang of the power delivery (stay in the field until you get used to it).
