LC4 or XR?

ok so i have the 4-stroke fever and i now need to buy another 4-stroke. but my chioces are narrowed down to either an xr400 or a ktm lc4.
now what i want to know is how do these two bikes compare?
weight
reliability (i know xr's run for ever)
power range,
suspension
etc.......
a buddy of mine has a xr400 and i love it, but i found a 97 lc4 in great shape for $1500 with tons of extras. i really want to be able to ride this bike in the woods, but also set it up for mx.
the xr i ride doesn't seem like it has the suspension to race mx, but i just want to now the stats.
all help is greatly appreciated
