03 cr 250-my rear showa shock seems to fade after pounding 10 or so laps, and kind of feels like it settles into the stroke and goes 'dead'-(for lack of a better term)-makes it feel like low tire pressure. The shock was recently serviced. Nitro charge is good, no visible leaks. Has race tech gold valve and the split ring is two yrs old. could it be bypassing the split ring? Getting one on order just in case. Silkolene 5wt fork oil being used. Possibly the oil?

i sugest take it to someone that can work on it. Its probably nothin bad but, forks and shocks need maintance just like the engine. get used to it

You shouldn't use fork oil in a shock. Oil viscosity changes alot when they get hot.
