Just wondering if the Thor Sentinel is worth it? I know it's minus the shoulder pads, but I don't want something that is going to restrict movement too much. If not, what should I look for when shopping? I want something that's going to stop me from getting broken bones up in the shoulder and collar area, and stop me from getting stabbed too bad by my handlebars when I eat ***t hard. Thanks for any input...

A chest protector is probably not going to protect you from broken bones, its more for softening the blow of rocks and roost. I have one of the old thor "scattershields" and i just took the shoulder pads off and it looks almost exactly like the sentinel 
. Without the shoulder pads you'll have less restriction of movement but you might get some bruises on your arm if you take a spill. I myself don't like the arm pads on chest protectors. It's all pretty much a matter of preference.
