Forgive me if this has been asked before, but do any of you have these? What are your experience with them? I am thinking of 'hinting' for them for a Christmas present, but I live in NC and am concerned they may just be too hot? Do these gloves breathe at all? Does anyone else that rides in a hot climate have them and have an opinion on it?
Thanks.

MSR has had they for years and I have used them for years. Bought them when they first came (tan only) out and have used them since (in black). Am currently on my 6/7th pair (every year one son get my last year's pair and I get new!) They are practical for four seasons and I use them year 'round except for a recent pair of Moose Saharas in the summer just for kicks.
Good gloves; they put some thought into their construction. Kevlar stitching throughout and minimum padding. Leather is plyable, smooth and comfortable (no break in rq'd), fine in warm and cool weather, moderately breathable so they are comfortable even when it's hot out. When they do get wet, water retention makes them uncomfortable and they do get stiff but become plyable when worn.
I've had one come apart at the seam and the Tucker Rocky rep replaced them no charge.
Make sure the fit is snug as they stretch a wee bit; not too tight or they will stress the seams and fall apart. Too losse and they will bunch up and cause blisters.
I've used dearskin (yes: I'm and old guy/old skool), pig skin and these (can't tell what type of leather they are), which are tnear the top of the three. The dearskin gloves - used to be made in the USA - of old are the best but are no longer available; these are second best.
