compression adjutment?

I have a 04' yz450 and need to adjust the forks.Is it simply the center screw on the top of the fork tube?Clockwise softens?or stiffens?Thanx

On those forks the top adjustment is your reb. Clockwise you will add reb or slow the fork down counter clockwise is just the opposite.
I like to think of reb as faster or slower and compression as stiffer or softer it's less confusing for those who aren't in tune.
The compression is at the bottom of the fork.
