LIFE IS TOO SHORT NOT TO

Sing in the shower - Treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated - Watch a sunrise at least once a year - Leave the toilet seat in the down position - Never refuse homemade brownies - Strive for excellence, not perfection - Plant a tree on your birthday - Learn three clean jokes - Return borrowed vehicles with the gas tank full - Compliment three people every day - Never waste an opportunity to tell someone you love them - Leave everything a little better than you found it - Keep it simple - Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures - Become the most positive and enthusiastic person you know - Floss your teeth - Ask for a raise when you feel you've earned it - Be forgiving of yourself and others - Over tip breakfast waitresses - Say "thank you" a lot - Say "please" a lot - Avoid negative people - Buy whatever kids are selling on card tables in their front yards - Wear polished shoes - Remember other people's birthdays - Commit yourself to constant improvement - Carry jumper cables in your trunk - Have a firm handshake - Send lots of Valentine cards. Sign them, "Someone who thinks you're terrific - Look people in the eye - Be the first to say "Hello" - Use the good silver - Return all things you borrow - Make new friends but cherish the old ones - Keep secrets - Sing in a choir - Plant flowers every spring - Have a dog - Always accept an outstretched hand - Stop blaming others. Take responsibility for every area of your life - Wave at kids on school buses - Be there when people need you - Feed a stranger's expired parking meter - Don't expect life to be fair - Never underestimate the power of love - Drink champagne for no reason at all - Live your life as an exclamation, not an explanation - Don't be afraid to say, "I made a mistake" - Don't be afraid to say, "I don't know" - Compliment even small improvements - Keep your promises (no matter what) - Marry only for love - Rekindle old friendships - Count your blessings - Call your mother-Kiss a trophy girl, Winning trophy is optional

I can agree to all of the above, with the exceptions listed in bold, which are explained below:

1) Why? Dirty jokes are what we all laugh about. Life is too short to waste on uptight people.

2) Don't just do it for breakfast. An extra dollar is the difference between a good tip and bad. You don't need that buck, so make someone's day.

3) Screw your shoes. It's the person inside, not the gloss on your shoes, that matters in life.

4) If you're on a streetbike, don't wave, but rather give them the "thumbs in your ears and wave your fingers" salute. In other words, make the kids laugh. Not only will it make you feel better, but they'll never forget it and hopefully one day want to ride themselves. The more kids we can get to ride, the better the world will be as a result. No, I'm not kidding. Life iis a first-person experience; you either live it or it passes you by. If you're here, you understand. Try to help those that don't.

Not on the list, but most important: if you've found that one person that makes your life worth living, make sure they know it, every day, and don't ever forget it.

1- 3 clean jokes is for children and ladies whom are from previous generations
2- breakfast waitresses are the hardest working and most undertipped, as far as % wise they would be ripped off considering 6.00 is about 1.00tip an xtra buck still isnt overtipping
3- wear polished shoes is a little deeper than whats actually read on the surface IMHO
4- point is have fun w/kids

5- take what you like and leave the rest, or make additions to the thread not subtract from my contribution

It's not so much that life is so short...we're just dead for so long.

Looks like I better stay out of Missouri.
No, don't take my first post the wrong way. I've been happily married for 10 years and believe me, my wife can read me like a book. She knows what I'm thinking before I even think it. She'll come up and smack me in the back of the head and say "So you think Tiffany has a nice butt, huh?". I'm like wtf?
