I can never say out of these threads......It's on Speed tomorrow for christ sake.......have....will....power........

Posted by: john3_16---------------------

WOW, lap times don't get much closer than that....Stewart proved he has the fitness bugs worked out last week....This looks like it gonna be good.

Lange in the top 3!!! Can't wait for the arenacross.

Posted by: rickyd---------------------

oh oh, JS toyed w/CR

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

There it is...

Posted by: Thump---------------------

The only reason RC did not beat JBS was the start he got. Yeah, yeah, thats it.

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Listening to the Press conference... RC mentions "we don't need boring races", no less than 4 times... "it's not good for the sport". I find it funny hearing him say that! Uhhh.... RC? YOU'RE been the one making it boring for the last few years. Suddenly it's boring because JS pulls out to a 13 second lead?

Posted by: rickyd---------------------

He was mentioning how the racing is boring, only a few guys winning.. he also mentioned people need too step it up, he said that last year too i beleive.. You get a different rider winning every weekend, this sport will grow IMHO

Posted by: mxneagle---------------------

Didn't Lange say he was riding SX only this year?

Sounds like he understands that either with him smokin' everyone in year past, or JBS smokin' everyone this year, the same effect. What's funny about that? Sounds like he's serving crow to himself, something JBS doesn't do.

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Where did you hear he said anything about the past series being boring? He simply said the races so far have been boring. I suppose if 5 different people hear the same thing, they can read-into it and make it mean anything they like.

I suppose we'll see if he's capable of that this year, once he has a reason to do so.

Has he said anything that's been "wrong" so far this year?
In the life of one so young, there can be a huge difference between this year and last year. Assuming someone hasn't/can't grow up from one year to the next is extremely short sited.

.

Last season during the Nationals, i think he would like too see more winners..

Both the AMA and Boo Koo AX seasons are well under way already. Lange is racing SX this year for the Richmond Kawasaki team with American Teddy Maier and possibly another young Canadian Colton Facciotti.

There's been numerous quotes from RC over the past 18 months talking about just that. He knows the fans want close racing regardless of who is running away with things. He's mentioned it several times during last seasons nationals that his winning by huge margins was not good for the fans. This isn't something new because he got beat. I haven't listened to the post race press conference so I can't comment on the context of his comments but his position was very clear prior to getting beat these two races.

No I think he would like to be THE winner but have some bikes right on his back wheel every lap and every race

I also remember him saying he wished more guys would step it up so the fans got to see real racing during the nationals

Posted by: F150Motocrosser---------------------

I know RC was puttin out 53's.. but Bubba looked scary fast!

I definetly enjoyed seeing RC and Reed dice it up. Now if only Reed could start beating him.. then that would put an interesting spin on things

Posted by: CaptainObvious---------------------

Hmmm, maybe Bubba is the real deal. I sure hope so, because the first two races were very good (from a 1-2-3 perspective).

Speed is doing a good job with the races. The camera angles are cool. I'd like Speed to give the other riders a little more air time. One thing that ESPN did do well was their weekly rider focus.

Can't wait for the big show - A1

I'd rather see more of the race than some riders house. Let them all apply to be on MTV Cribs.

Exactly Looks like this year (of course it is way early) our hope of seeing a good heated race is if Stewart gets a bad start or falls on the first turn, watch him come up through the pack as he has done in the past on his 125

Posted by: Ryone---------------------

Boring? I thought last week's race was one of the best SX races I'd seen in a while. The race in Vancouver was boring, but last week when RC and JS duked it out for ~15 laps... that's not boring to me.

What I found interesting was how frustrated RC was. He showed it on the podium when talking to Krista. He's mad at himself for not getting good starts, and he knows he doesn't have anything for JS right now. Stewart is calm/cool/collected on the podium and in interviews... he's giving CR and RC credit, he's being humble, and he's saying the right things.

I'm an RC fan, but would not mind JS winning as long as he presents himself the same way through the season as he has these first two rounds. I'm honestly hoping for RC and CR to find the speed needed to battle with JS every weekend so that the points are tight to the last round.

How refreshing is that!!!? Someone is actually talking about THIS season!

Posted by: cnielse5---------------------

I want to talk about the other riders.

It was very odd to see DV on red and a 2stroke.

Chad reed looked like he hurt himself, and I am worried that he may run with the second pack runners (ie. kw, Tedesco, fonseca, and vullemin) he is looking like he may be just a little off the lap times of jbs and rc.

Will the off kw come into january a new man after the hernia was fixed?

Will tedesco learn some tricks from rc and pick up the pace?

I like the jbs that we are seeing this season, he is cool calm, patient, and humble. Can he stay consitant enough to stay on top?

Rc said that his trianing is designed to peak in january, and this is probably his last full season I think he will come out looking to win january.

just me thoughts for anahiem 1.

I was at the Boo Koo race that was in Fort Worth but I haven't been following the results since the two series had begun......I was hoping to see Lange at the Dallas Arenacross in January......It will be interesting to see how Lange does in SX.

Sorry, Okiewan. You've been a strong supporter of JBS against the bandwagon guys I know. This is definately the JBS we expected to see last year. He looks and acts and rides awesome the last two races (not a season yet). I've been personally burned by favored sons who screw up and I gave 'em another chance. Not totally convinced yet.I favor RC myself, but if he starts acting like an arse due to losing, I'd flame him too.

Enough of that. How about Hot Sauce? He was 4th both races right? Not bad I'd say. Hopefully he can keep the pace. I didn't expect him to be in the top 5.

Posted by: nephron---------------------

The digital anti-Stewart decibel level in here is so low I almost tripped over it. Unbelievable. Is this all you guys and gals can say?...nothing?

Let's hear it for James. Respect is due. We all should be happy for him (given these recent turbulent months). I'm still waiting to hear from Tanel Leok in SX??????????

Posted by: Someone---------------------

It was only a matter of time before Stewart bashers were humbled. It still made for fun reading.

Posted by: marcusgunby---------------------

Lets not count our chickens is all people are saying, we have a long season to go.

I dont remember anyone saying bubba wasnt fast enough to win-we know he is, but he tends to throw championships away.

Exactly. If Bubba can settle for just beating RC and not trying to humiliate him, the #1 plate will be his.

From what i heard on the Vancouver broadcast RC has 2 more years on his contract, correct me if iam wrong. Also if you remember towards the end of last SX season RC was strugglling, he went 4 races without a main/heat race win.So dont believe whatever he is saying that his training will kick in later, that's the fastest the guy can go.

Posted by: funktree---------------------

Bubba seems like the kinda guy that would actually run the #1 in 07 if he wins it, that's a tradition I would like to see come back.

He got this one in the bag believe me, bet on BUBBA, or BOB#7.

Posted by: 2-Strokes 4-ever---------------------

I'm an RC fan, but reallly, I don't think he's as dominating indoors, as out. RC would win indoors if not for Stewart. If Bubba doesn't get himself hurt, I feel RC will. (forced to ride over his head.) I think RC's short stature works against him in the monster stadium whoops. What I'm really looking forward to, is seeing the two of them on the 450's.......outdoors.

struggling? maybe he was coasting and taking the title while warming up on the 450 to smoke everyone outdoors yet again, ya thats it sorry

i would believe him since most of the real players usually dont even start to play til A1 which is when speed really matters and the hotshots usually show up

I respect and agree with your point of view 100%. RC is more competitive outdoors, i would love to watch him battle BUBBA,CR,TEDESCO,BYRNE, a health K-DUB, all on 4 strokes, that's a dream race.

'RC is more competitive outdoors'? Did you mean to say... 'RC is even more dominant outdoors'? Nobody has beat him straight up for an SX title since McGrath (the best SX rider ever). Nobody has beat RC for an outdoor title. Ever.

FWIW, CR and K-dub did race against RC last year on 4 strokes. There was not much 'battle' to watch.

IMO, the closest racing we will see this year is in SX.

He had no competetion before CR and others stepped up and then BUBBA came to town, exposed him that he can be beat even from after a 8 secs behind crash. No excuses now, its all 4Ts, if RC wins both titles then he is the best SX/MX ever. I think this is gonna be the best SX/MX season ever.

whether he wins yet another or not he is ALREADY the goat. he has beat everyone regardless of what he is on. beat em when they were all on 250s SX last year, and last years MX bubs didnt have one but it really matters not what you ride when you pull off that often

Posted by: Solid State---------------------

Last I looked, MC was the best SX ever (by a long shot). RC is truely the GOAT (might want to look up what the 'A' in GOAT stands for). Bubba is suberbly gifted, but behaves more like a dancing fool than a champion!

Yeah, don't believe RC when he talks about training... why would the Greatest Of All Time know what he's talking about. That's the fastest he can go, huh You need to do a little homework. RC has another gear (that we haven't seen for a while, and only a glimpse of it in the open) where he hangs everything out. He's fast enough and smart enough not to risk doing it, but trust me, he has another gear... it's just not always a pretty one.

Hey i know he has another gear, but when are we gonna see it, BUBBA is pulling away and i wanna see some racing, is it gonna be A1, A2, when? Also iam trying to hear from the JBS bashers.

Posted by: XRpredator---------------------

Seems to me that Maecho already knows everything.

Posted by: ellandoh---------------------

then he must know that the 12 rounds of ama supercross havent started yet? they will start at A1 on january 7th which by coincidence is when RC CR JS and anyone who has another gear will be hangin it out. CR I HOPE REALLY pulls out two extra gears to make for some 3ways for 1st, that would reaally make my day. if he gets rid of that bleach he spilled in his hair would be a bonus also.

Maecho has just told us he is trolling for JS bashers. ill bet he doesnt find any around here unless JS does something to deserve it. any rider who deserves a thrashing will get a bashing.im sure people jump at the chance to bash some faster than others, but thats life. last year when JS jumped on RCs back he didnt catch as much flack as he should have, from me anyways. i thought to myself that RC jumped right over JS and embarrassed him in the previous race(pure luck nobody was hurt) that JS deserved an attempt to return the favor except he didnt get so lucky.

You can't speak for everybody , bashers got their damn rights and bashing is not an offense its merely entertaining reading about.

Posted by: zcookie49---------------------

How many 250 championships (SX&MX) does RC have, 10?
Listen Maecho, I understand that you think JBS is the greatest thing since sliced bread (capitilizing BUBBA is just a hint) and I too think that he is a phenom and has great promise ahead.
When and if he wins 10- 250 championships I'll listen to you spew your Bubbalicious propaganda from your soap box. The earliest that would be is in 5 years if he sweeps each year from now. That should give you enough time to complete your JBS biography of the 2nd GOAT. IMO, he would have to surpass RC's wins to be the #1 GOAT.
.
Just the facts, not a Bash.

i propose we bash CRs newfound hair color me first

CRs hair makes me want to put him in a pair of speedos and call him "Nancyboy"

Posted by: JMD---------------------

Just because the real season begins in Anaheim does not mean RC is going to click it up a gear if it means he has to ride out of control. Many a championship has been won by letting the "phenom" win a bunch and crash himself out of contention. Sure, RC needs to win some, but he doesn't have to win every one, and he doesn't have to win the first. Let's just see who's the last man standing at the end of the season. If it's Bubbles, he'll have earned it. Right now he's just the winner of the pre-season, sort of like Rex Staten beating Roger DeCoster in practice.

I finally got around to watching the less filling class main this morning. Millsaps is fast becoming one of my favorite riders. I'm looking forward to seeing the big galoot on a 450.

I think Honda is looking forward to seeing the galoot on a 450 too
