Anybody got any idea when we'll see the District #17 schedule for HS???

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hope to see the schedule soon so I can start to plan dates.
Thanks in advance.

You may already have this but:

The schedule part ("2006") can not be clicked on yet. D17 is really good about keeping their website up to date.

Thanks Mully, yes I know about the web site. Just thought maybe there was anougher avenue. Thanks

Just how long ahead of time do you really "need" to know what dates are going to be where? old age = impateince?

it will be up soon. I happen to know this "first hand".

I know Wardy but I've got nothing else to do this time of year. Just thought I'd see if any body was out there, I knew you were. Hahaha Old age=more than impateince

Probably not worth a whole new thread so I'll just ask here.

I intend to enter my first hs this year, which is better suited for the first timer? 30b, or 30trailrider (if it exists)?

Posted by: jsned---------------------

jaction125, 30b for sure. When you come around the first lap and find the bottleneck of C riders, which by then they will be routing around hopefully, you will be glad. Seriously, you will learn more trying to keep up with faster guys. Anyway you do it just have fun.

Posted by: djj---------------------

I agree with Jsned on the fact that the "c" classes have some bottle necks problems, but I don't know if I agree with putting someone who has never raced before into a "b" class. +30b is still a pretty competitive class and depends on the race but usually they start with us nasty old+40b guys and we might scare the hell out of somebody new. You know they might ask us a question sitting on the line, you can guess what kind of answer they'll get out of us.

Posted by: wardy---------------------

Hell, I have only rode 5 HS races in 31 years, I rode 40 A last year and got lapped by the C class! Bitch getting old.

There is a lot of sandbagging in the "c" class. Maybe that's what got you lapped.

Schedule is up at: http://amadistrict17.com/services/2006schedule.htm

na actually I suck at woods riding. Been a long time.course the only stuff i rode in my early days i am afraid to say wasn't d-17, once a year i would venture into that "other" neck of the woods and try a hundred miles, usually cussing the whole way home......

FlyinRyan, what is the deal with 2 days at Geneseo and 2 days at Goshen?

Posted by: FlyinRyan---------------------

It's going to be two great days of enduro racing! The Goshen one will be two seperate 50 mile loops and those guys put on some good enduros so it should be a blast. Not sure the final details on Geneseo, but I was told at this years race they had some great stuff in store for next, that they just couldn't get to it for this year. This years Geneseo enduro was one of the best of the series so two days of it should be awesome.

I think it's going to be really cool to do some two day events. It'll show who's in shape and I'm sure the bench racing stories on Saturday night will be really good.

FlyinRyan, does that mean you have to do both days, to get a score? Or is it actually 2 seperate point paying races? Either way dont matter to me, I just go for a good ride, but I dont know if too many guys could do both days, due to work and family things.

Exactly!!

2 days 2 points paying events. I heard that Goshen might do a Overall Champion for the weekend but it won't effect points, just be for bragging rights.

I was told Goshen will have the start time around 1:00 on Saturday and I'm assuming Geneseo will do something like that also. Hopefully people will know far enough ahead that they can plan to be there on both days.

Posted by: jsned---------------------

Thanks Ryan. That is cool, I have a buddy who doesnt race anymore because he will not miss church, so I might be able to get him to one of the Saturday events. I like it better also because it gives you a day to rest and clean the bike.

Posted by: djj---------------------

Luckily I can do church on Sat nights, that way I don't get in to much trouble. I wonder if Geneseo will have camping?? That would be kinda fun to ride Sat then camp out and ride again Sun. (Munch ride a enduro????)

Posted by: wardy---------------------

only if they have a bike wash for you! I couldn't see you riding a "dirty bike" on sunday. :P

ha!

Wardy's got rocks, slimy muddy "ROCKS" lol
I've got a water tank I carry with me and a pressure washer Wardy so its no problem. Munch I'm marking the Geneseo two dayer down as a "do" ride we'll have to tell the other criminals to ride it also.

Posted by: fatherandson---------------------

When is the HS at Wardy's place? The Michigan Mafia may have to visit the FBI.

Posted by: wardy---------------------

We have 5 pick your poison......, we are Moto Pro Inc, Wedron on the schedule.
