Is it worth is to spend $150-200 to tune my 97 RM250 forks?

Would it be smart to put this kind of money into my forks on a bike this old?. It is really the only complaint I have with my bike right now. I have a new top end and have spent a few hundred on it already, BUT I got the bike at $1300, so I can justify putting a little money into it since I was planning on spending up to $2000 on a bike anyway.

As I do the research it looks like this bike is known for having a very stiff compression with the forks. I guess I can look at it like even if I were to get a brand new bike at $7000+ it would be good to get the suspension dialed in to me?

Everything else seems to be running great (for now) but this is my biggest complaint about the bike after I hop off of an 05 YZ250, 04 crf250, 06 ktm sxf250, etc.....I just feel too many bumps up front.

Thoughts????

Only you can answer this question. Do you like the bike enough to keep it for a season or two? If so then get it set up right for you.
