Racing on CBS

Is there going to be any supercross on CBS or is it all on speed?

Posted by: JST122---------------------

Yes CBS will air something like 8 rounds of racing, go to www.sxgp.com and look up tv schedule for the complete listings.

TIVO says SX will be showing on "CBS Sports Network", a subscripti0n (which I don't have) is required. That's on DirectTV 380(or so).
Geeze, all the hype and now this! If they'd just let Speed cover them I could watch.
There must be some conspiracy to keep off-road racing out of public view.
BTW, seems like I heard the balance of the races will be covered by OLN rather than Speed, not sure on that one though.

Do you know what the cost will be to get that channel?

Posted by: JST122---------------------

OLN had last years MX series races. Speed Channel will air all of the supercross races, and 6 of them will be aired on CBS as well. So as long as you get Speed Channel you will be all set, all of the races will be aired on Speed at some point. They are airing some on CBS to get to a wider audience since everyone with a TV can get the major networks (ie: FOX, ABC, CBS). You should have CBS if you have satelite or cable, it is not a special channel, it is the standard non-cable network channel. It wont cost you anything extra to get the races on CBS. CBS sports is just like ABC sports, when they air a football game on the weekend on CBS, it is on CBS Sports, same thing with Monday night football on ABC, it is on "ABC Sports". Its the same channel just how they promote it. So just go to the local CBS channel and you will be able to see the race.

I hope you're right.

The online DirecTV program guide here, show it airs on CBS channel 4, this Sunday at 12:30 pm Eastern time.

If you can get CBS with an antennae, you can see the races. What I don't like is that the races are split between Speed and CBS. CBS is airing 6 of the 250 races but the 125s are on Speed later in the week.

You don't need cable or satellite to get CBS... just a cheesy antenna.

Posted by: cnielse5---------------------

that is great for guys like me that only have a cheesy antenna!

Posted by: JST122---------------------

Yes that is what I was getting at it is a standard non-cable network channel so if you have cable or satelitte then you definitely get it, and if you dont, adjust your rabbit ears antennas just right then you should be able to get it!
