Wondering about power compared to 250's

I'm just wondering, because I'm thinking of selling my RM250 and try out a more off roady type bike, just for the gas mileage and stuff.
I want to know how these compare to an average 250, both in acceleration and topspeed, and even gas mileage.
Those WR426's and WR450's
A stock or factory uncorked XR650R
KTM 300's and 380's, the off road two strokes
And I guess an XR400 also.
Just to get an idea what the power, mileage, and topspeed would be like on all these.

I've been wondering the same thing- just out of curiosity...
Hopefully someone will hit this thread~

I know that those modded up 650's will cruise at speeds that the 250's are winding at, which is good for powerlines and that sort of thing, levy's too. And I know the XR400 has less power, but wondering how much less? And the topend on those?
Mainly I'm wondering about the WR's, and the KTM's.

I was told by an experienced friend that "once you get into 400s and the bigger ones, power differences are hard to notice." I'm not sure how much I believe that though... I'm lookin' for actual numbers...

Do you mean in four strokes, or two, or both? I've got to think that a YZ400F and a 450 have noticable power differences. Maybe KTM's 380 has similar power to a CR500? Let's get some replies in here for cryin' out loud!
