Right on,
To race Walton, do you need to have placed better than ?th in a sanctioned event in Canada?
I recall hearing/reading something about this but is it true?
What club you race in?
I was going to do some racing last fall but I had a boo-boo and missed well, everything..

If you look at the schudule you'll notice the dates marked with "ANQ" (Amateur National Qualifier). I'm not sure if the top 5, 3, or 1st place of that race automatically reserves you a spot at the nationals, but if you don't qualify you can reserve a gate by pre-registering.
To race Walton you need to be a member of the C.M.R.C. You can purchase a license or pre-register thru their web site, at any sanctioned C.M.R.C event or at Walton (first come first serve for gates). It's not cheap but it's worth every penny!
