Eric just told me that one of our homegrown MX racers took bronze last night in SnoX at the X Games
. Congrats to Ross Martin
first time at the XGames and first season I think actually competing in pro SnoX. Wish I had known it was on I would have loved to have seen the race.

Awesome!!
We caught one of Ross's pro races on TV last winter. Pretty impressive, because he's equally as fast on the MX track.

no more, I heard from a source that polaris has paid him well and told him he isn't allowed on the bikes no more. kinda sucks if that is true, he races megacross alot and was the rider to beat down here.
But on the other hand its' great to see another one "make" it from this area!

That's awesome! Congrats!

Cool!
It's always exciting when someone from your area makes it big!

I guess money talks..... too bad because Ross was awesome to watch on the MX track. I remember in 2004 at the Red Bud national, when a bunch of 250F riders were jumping Larocco's Leap during the Saturday practice - and Ross was one of the first ones to do it. He was always one of the first to go big at the local tracks too - like doubling up the first two tabletops at Megacross, with about a 10-15 foot run! Well, hopefully he'll have a great career in the snow... and we'll finally see some other rider's names in the Megacross race report headlines.

Funny that you posted this yesterday, Dave. I just went up to the gym here at work, and watched one of the Snocross rounds from Minnesota (Canterbury Park). Ross won the Pro Stock class (ESPN didn't show much coverage of that), but then he also lead the 20 lap Pro Open class from start to finish. I guess he's only the 4th rider in history to sweep in Snocross. Blair Morgan, Tucker Hibbert, and some guy I've never heard of were the other three.
Pretty cool stuff!
