Yz250 for 250f ?

I`ve got a 03yz250 I`m thinking about parting with to get a 250f for me and my son and had some questions. How reliable are 250f`s ? Would it be to big for a 16 year old`s second bike( first was a kx100).I kinda like the Honda`s but they all look pretty cool.

It'll probably be a step down from the smoker for you, but it should be fine for your son. It's as reliable as any MXer.
