Looks SWEET! All it needs is some blue anodized rims and a chrome pipe.

Oh My Gawd!!! It Is Gorgeous.

Yourrs would look good too Doug, if you would put it back together!!! Hurry, theres a standing invite for some winter riding at a private track in Campellville!

I bought a new 06 KX250 last week and it is fantastic! The fit and finish are excellent, a bit better than the 06 Kawasaki and RM. I love the looks of the CR250 but Honda's lack of attention has seen it falling behind the new YZ. The engine in the new YZ is amazing! I can't wait to start adding mods. I am going to turn it into a Baja/desert bike.

I have heard of the amazing sand dunes of baja north carolina

Posted by: Speedfreek---------------------

Needs mud on it,then it would be gorgeous

I'm having trouble getting motivated.

Shes still in pieces but now into the going together stage.
-New hoop (thanks Speedfreek) on hub, tire on hoop, hoop on bike.
-New piston and rings in, clutch checked, measured and reinstalled.
-Clutch cover polished (for da BLING).
-Pipe dents removed, ready for install. Filled with water, set outside in the great Canadian refrigerator overnight and BAM, no more dents.
-now just to find the energy to find all the nuts and bolts, I could be ready right after lunch.

-Lets get this season started all ready!!!!

Dude, you gotta be careful polishing magnesium. The dust is flamable and can ignite with a simple static charge In the old days of car racing the rims were made of magnesium, they would catch fire when you blew a tire . Magnesium even produces its own oxygen when it burns so it really hard to extinguish.

Posted by: killerdwarf717---------------------

Yep, and it burns real good and bright! I also read somewhere that bare magnesium can explode when exposed to water, and that's why they don't make "mags" out of magnesium any more

Posted by: i_955---------------------

4 hours, and a dozen beers and a whole can of Mothers Aluminum Polish later and now you tell me I'm going to light on fire the first puddle I hit.
Man, good time to get some insurance on the old girl. Hey MX Junkie, get any good deals you want to pass down to a fella tuning forks riding guy?

I start on the 27, any time after that just let me know what you want in advance then we'll take it from there.

My friend sandblasted his Clutch Cover on his 04 YZ250....is it going to chrome out like that from rubbing (from the boots)? Or if he wants it like that will he have to polish it? All paint is off and it looks good, because before it was like half painted and half all scratched up. But anyways, I'm just wondering. For MX junkie, YZ's are better anyways IMO!

Mine was polished from my boot 1/2 way across like a half moon and paint on the other 1/2. Looked like crap and it was either get a bigger pair of boots to polish the rest or start rubbing, and drinking. Actually I was already drinking, my other hand was looking for something else to polish.

So I went to work on Saturday (my day off) to put my YZ together, right out of the crate. All I can say is wow! Yamaha sure did their homework on this machine. What a rocket, best bike I have ever riden. In my opinion, it makes big brother thumper look bad. I'll be tradin her in on an 07 in a couple of months. Anyone wanna try her out I practice at Eagle's Nest on Sundays most of the time. Braaaaap!

Posted by: i_955---------------------

I could very well be in the market in a couple months...

Posted by: John Cena---------------------

Sounds great! Hows the power delivery? Good bottom, mid and top?
