yz 490 suspension problems

i have a 83 yz 490 its a good bike but i want to jump and the suspension is to soft and last time i went riding i broke the top triple clamp what all do i need to do to get them nice for jumping aside from fixing the triple clamp

I'd look at making everything 100% if you really like the bike. Don't worry about anything other than fixing any problems. The 490 with it's YAM "Ohlins" wanabe shock needs some help i'm sure as the chrome has gone bad.

As for the triple clamp see if a good aviation shop can fabricate you a new one for a decent price.
