ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mully

Posted by: KaTooMer---------------------

It's on my schedule - I'm thinking 3 enduros (Byron, Roselawn IN, & Park Hills MO national) in the month of April. Gotta be a record for me.

Flyin' Ryan - any chance the route sheet will be available prior to 4/2?

Posted by: FlyinRyan---------------------

I'll have it up before, had planned on having it up by Thursday. It snowed last night so things aren't looking so great right now. Will know more tomorrow morning when we are going to try to ride mileage.

Posted by: fatherandson---------------------

Ryan,
Looks like your forecase is wet early in the week, but a dry weekend. Let us know the go or no go decision when it is available.
Thanks,
Mike

2 of us from Kankakee IL, I am so ready I almost loaded my bike up yesterday!! I am praying for good weather. If it is rain delayed 1 week there will only be 1 of us.

Anybody not done this one and is thinking about it, dont hesitate it is fun!!!!

Forest City Riders Update:

Good news, we were able to run mileage on Saturday and it was 100% drier then I thought it would be. Still a little muddy and frozen in a couple spots but for all the bad weather we've had so far the trail was in really good shape. We should have had the enduro yesterday! Anyway we ended up with 76 actual miles and 87 on the route sheet. Will try to have the route sheet up by Thursday.

Good news is the weather is looking better for this week too. Everyone keep hoping that the rain passes us by and we'll be able to have a great enduro for everyone.

I'll update more this week when I get the route sheet posted up.

Note: The main gas is at the start but we will have a gas available that we will run a gas trailer for you on the first loop. The trailer won't be back until after the you get to the main gas so you will need two cans. The first loop is 51 actual miles long and the gas available is at 23.5 actual miles out. I would not have made it on my 200XC-W I don't think, but we did have a CFR250X and a Gas Gas 200 make it all the way (barely).

And put a pipe guard on, there's stumps, logs, and one really big rock in a creek out there that will smash FMF Gnarly's with no problem! (Yes, I smashed my shiny new pipe)

oh o those michigan guys are invading.

ryan you need to watch that "mike" guy.

:P

Posted by: FlyinRyan---------------------

I'm putting that 'Mike' guy to work so that I know exaclty where he is at all times

Short update:

Weather is calling for rain on both Thursday and Friday. Just have to see how much we get and go from there. Will make the call to run or not on Friday night and post everywhere.

Hey Ryan, if I enter all the resets and speed changes in my Watchdog today will it lose it if I turn it off till Sunday?

I know I wont know my minute but it sure would be nice not to have to enter all that resets and speed changes right before the race.

Thanks to all the guys putting this race on, it is a good time.

Posted by: Mully---------------------

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY...........................

It figures.

I get the new bike totally dialed in, and I am jones-ing so bad to go....................

now you watch what happens.

Mully

Posted by: Wolf---------------------

I did the same thing jsned. I don't think you'll lose it. Question for you....
Once all the resets and speed changes are entered, you enter the start time - 10 am right? What and when do you enter the Keytime and your minute? I'm new to the WD - as you can tell.

Posted by: jsned---------------------

Wolf, start time on the computer is 10:00

Scroll down till you see keytime, that is where you put the time that is on the watch taped to the sign in table. Bring a watch so you can set it to their "keytime watch" when you sign up then go back to your bike and enter that in to the keytime.

you can go to cd "countdown" and it will start counting down to the second you start.

Keep scrolling till you find "minute" and put in your minute.

I hope I dont confuse you.

Posted by: Wolf---------------------

nah, not confusing at all. Kinda hoped that's what you'd say, it makes sense. I guess the part in the manual that through me for a loop was that they said to enter keytime about 15 seconds early and the sync....? That got me thinking that maybe I was thinking too much?

Posted by: jsned---------------------

Yeah that 15 sec thing got me too. Thats just so you can hit the enter button just at the right second to synchronize them real good. I do that with my watch at the sign up tabe also.

If you ever have a question at the race or need a part last minute talk to Tom Ferris.(sp?) I needed the cable from the front wheel, called him the night before and he brung it with him the next day. He does most of the races. Great guy and will help you out at the last minute if needed.

Thanks!

I just saw the following on Ryan's site:
______________________________________________________________________________

Anyone else want to trade positions with me???

We got some rain last night but not as much as what they were calling for. Right now it is sunny and very windy which is perfect. They are calling for some more rain tonight and then again on Sunday. I'm hoping the Sunday forecast changes and the rain tonight is light, everyone do a 'go away rain dance' for us. I'm heading out now to see what it looks like and we will make a call by tonight / Saturday morning before 9:00am.

Wardy
Turn the faucet off so we can ride!

Fred

Posted by: Don Marsh---------------------

Like the Honda commercial says......................I wanna ride,I wanna ride,I wanna ride,I wanna ride,I wanna ride,I wanna ride,I wanna ride..........but I don't wan't to adjust the valves!
Don

Posted by: wardy---------------------

It should be ok, saturday no rain. sunday rain is forcast for late in the day. LOL i have 17 events a year to watch the weather!!! Patty says I should become a weather man since i am just as full of crap.

Posted by: jsned---------------------

Do NOT look at what the weather.com has to say about Sunday, you will be Pi$$ed for the rest of the day.

I live 2.5 hours south of Rockford and we didnt get anything Friday night. It is actually real dry around here. I was putting around on the wifes bike yesterday in a field that should be a swamp this time of year and I was kicking up dust.

I dont know if it would be possible, ( I know these guys are working with land owners) but it seems like if they switched this weekend with the 4-23 Roselawn race the weather might work out better for both races. Because Roselawn is all sand the earleir wetter weather might not be a problem, and a few more weeks later into spring could make a big difference on the amount of moisture in the ground up in northern Illinois. I would think the temperatures would be better that way also.

Forest City Riders Update:

Postponed to April 9th.

We are more frustrated then anyone but we can't chance wrecking the new parking area or upsetting our landowners by tearing up their property. We due this to keep this enduro alive, we (all riders) can't afford to lose another enduro.

Posted by: FlyinRyan---------------------

Thanks mully, you beat me to it.

Posted by: jsned---------------------

Thanks for posting Ryan an Mully, see ya next weekend.

Posted by: Wolf---------------------

bummer boys....see you next weekend.

Posted by: fatherandson---------------------

We will be in a white motorhome with a white trailer (Enduro Engineering sticker on the door) with three KTMs. Unless Trashrider bring the Husky, then it will be one banana bike and two pumpkins.
We should get there early Saturday afternoon.

Fruits and vegetables are good for you! We will be there early if we know the status of the enduro before 7 AM Saturday morning. If not I'm waiting to leave home until I know because at 8 MPG I don't want to have to turn around again this weekend.

Posted by: FlyinRyan---------------------

Yes we are on for Sunday. Sorry I haven't updated the my site or VM yet I haven't been home since this morning and am currently loading stuff up at my parents for the big weekend. Thought I better start getting the word out before it got really late. I'll update my sites later tonight.

See eveyone Sunday!

Great job Ryan and the rest of the Forest City Riders!
