Just bought my bike and the guy mixed it with "Castor" i think but I need to go by some and mix with my own gas..

What exactly do i need?

Also, he gave me the 5 gallon gas jug and a measuring cup but didint say what to measure the oil out to before I dump it in the gas can and fill it up. Anyone know for sure?

Now is the time to choose what oil you want to use. Ask a few trusted friends, and get ready for a lot of opinions here. Also, you can read the 83,265 threads that have already been created on the subject here. There are many fine oils out there, and you can choose whichever brand you desire. Also, check to see what your local dealers regularly stock. If you do choose to continue using the same stuff the previous owner was running, you should call and ask him what brand and ratio he has been running. Also, find out if the bike is tuned for race gas, pump gas, or a blend of both.
I personally run 93octane pump gas mixed with Motul 800 oil at a 40:1 ratio. This is 3.2 oz of oil per gallon of gas.
The formula for one gallon is: 128/desired ratio=oil amount(in ounces) If you want to mix up more (I usually mix 2.5-5 gallons at a time) multiply 128 times the number of gallons of gas you plan to buy and use that instead of 128.

Maxima has a ratio rite bottle that i just purchased. It basically shows you on the bottle how much oil to mix with the determined amount of fuel. It gives every popular ratio too as in 32:1, 40:1, etc. Good investment for a few bucks. As was stated earlier, use the search function on this site and just start reading. After reading for hours i chose to use Mobil 1 mxt2 or which is now known as Mobil 1 Racing 2t. It works great and i'm happy with it. Just read and pick your oil.

+1 I like the Mobil 1 as well.

A pint (16 ounces) into 4 gallons of gas = 32:1.

Works well to just get 4 gallons in your 5 gallon can. . .

He used maxima 927 at a 40:1 ratio on 93 octane pump gas. he said he didnt really like race gas because it's already way too much bike and that turns it into a completely diff monster.

There you go, 3.2 oz per gallon. The ratio rite is a good investment, it's what I use as well. If you make sure to get the lid, it will help heep the crap out.
