Kids boot question for the moto parents

I'm looking to get my son some boots for his birthday but have a question. When your sizing them do you get them a bit big or do you get them the correct size and replace them sooner. Thanks for your help.

What was suggested to me when I bought boots for my daughter was to get them slightly large and then put Dr Scholls inserts in them to take up some of the space. Then later you can pull the inserts out and use them for a while longer. Seems to be working for her.

I bought my son's boots a couple years ago two sizes too big, he is now the correct size for them, but they have lasted over 2 years. I may sell them when he gets a bigger pair, and probably won't go more than a size over this time, since his riding has become more agressive and the air has gotten bigger. You need to be able to strap them down tight enjough to provide adequate support. A little extra in the toe doesn't seem to hurt. Unless the kid rides in the arches with toes pointing at the ground.

What size are you looking for? I have a very small foot and am selling a pair of Black Alpinestars M4's - Size 6. They're in pretty good condition and the soles show little wear.

They're on the big auction site right now, but no bids so far. I'd sell them for $30 shipped.

Thanks for the replies. Rob sorry but I have no idea what size he is . I was just going to take him to the shop and fit him.

I've noticed that the kids boots run a bit big, so my son usually gets two seasons out of them. Right now he wears a size 6 shoe, and I just bought him size 6 riding boots (MSR). There is plenty of room in these for some growth.
