85 XL350R rear shock upgrade Help

Having trouble finding specifications. Anyone know a good rear shock to replace my stocker with that will bring the rear end of my bike up a bit? (something with a remote reservior, an 89 XR600 shock is avail cheaply to me right now, but I cant find travel and legnth specs anywhere. Not exactly sure what my stock legnth is either, dont want to remove it until I have something else to put in if I can help it. Thanks in advance, any help appreciated, front sits a bit high with th YZ fork swap compared to the rear and wouldnt mind a shock with more travel and adjustable compression settings (has only rebound 1-4 right now) Thanks again....
