i have a kx 85 and the springs came off and oil was leaking from muffler. so i check the engine and the oil was low. i ask the guy at the bike store for some oil and he gave me transmission oil did he give me the right and will it mess my bike up

You might want to post this in the mini or 2 stroke forum - this is the suspension forum.

That said, I know some people run tranny fluid in their transmission . . .

You bike may be running rich causing the spooge, or it could have a crankcase seal problem.

You might want to read the manual before you begin diagnosing transmission oil issues based on the oil dripping out your silencer.
