KYB S3 forks

I recently bought a 2006 YZ450F. It has the new Speed Sensative System forks. I haven't been able to find much info on these new forks.
My last bike was a 2000 KX250 with KYB forks. I had them apart several times, changing oil and installed a Gold Valve kit, and changed my shim stack several times.
What I am looking for is a good explination of how the S3 forks work, what has changed from the old KYB forks and perhaps some exploded diagrams of the entire system.
