1998 KX 500 Spring Rate

Hi, I have a 1998 KX 500 and with the adjuster collars backed off all the way, spring uncompressed, I only have 2.5 inches of race sag.
My research says that the spring rate for my weight, 175, should be 5.5 kgs. The spring that is in the bike is purple. Can anyone tell me if there is a coding between the color of the spring and the rate, so I can determine the rate of the purple spring? I want to make sure I don't buy another spring that is exactly what I already have.
Any help is appreciated.
Does anyone have a KX 500 that can tell me what color their stock spring is, or does anyone have a stock spring for sale?
