I just wanted to know what clutch kit would be best for a cr250. The plates in mine are burnt out and i need a new kit. I was looking around and found EBC and Barnett. I was wondering whats the best and if its not one of those, what should i go with?

ive been told you cant go wrong with a stock honda clutch, so i did

used the stock, ebc, and barnett in my 03 and keep coming back to the barnett mostly for cost and durability. I would use stock if it werent so expensive, you may notice a slight flywheel effect going to aftermarket heavier steel plates. I have used several ebc's and only had one kit- the kevlar kit, glaze up, but constant clutch abuse can do that. I do keep the oil full and clean. I ordered a super cheap - tusk kit as a spare may just put it in to see if it can handle it....

Thanks for the replies, i'll probably try out the EBC kit because that is the one most availabe to me.

I used a EBC Clutch on my 97 CR250 and hated it compared to stock. I had to readjust my cable free play alot during a ride compared to the OEM Honda clutch. My advice is to stick with OEM Honda or go with Pro-X, which is apparently comes from the same supplier.
