Good stuff. Rips on RC/AMA/Suzuki pretty hard for threatening to bail over the points deduction.

Quotes: "Stupid things like the McGrath race" Good one!

Good listen.

How 'bout the nationals being "almost like exhibition races"?

Posted by: D Lafleur---------------------

I want a level 3 shoulder separation, it will make me train harder and ride faster.

Posted by: Red Mamba---------------------

It seems like Chad got alot of issues on his racing mind issed: , i do agree with him only on one issue, the points fuel mix drama .

Posted by: TheGrinch---------------------

Good interview. Interesting to hear him talk about Tiger Woods & the comparison with him changing his riding techniques & suffering for it now but hopefully he'll see improvement from it in the future.

I think Chad's a good ambassador for the sport.

Posted by: JST122---------------------

Good interview it is good to hear one of the top racers actually speak what is on their mind without sugar coating it and trying to be politically correct.

Which sport?

In my experience, when someone tries so hard to convince you that they're not full of crap- it's because they are.

That's why I'm so slow. I'm changing my riding style and suffering for it now hoping to see improvement in the future.

Hey, Chad thought he kept the pace of JS and RC until they crashed. 2 wins for CR all thanks to JS and RC. He should be thanking those two.

Posted by: JMD---------------------

I didn't like the way Chad sounded. He seemed kind of pissy and whiney.

Posted by: ellandoh---------------------

sore losery , also

Posted by: TheGrinch---------------------

Where shall I start?

Lawn Bowls of course. What sport do you think I mean?

What exactly are you referring to Vic? What did he say that makes you think he's full of it?

You have to actually be fast in the first place there Pred

What sort of comment is that. Is it because he doesn't have a fully blown American accent? If you don't like the guy just say so.

Yes, they were baiters....and yes they are good at what they do. "Masters" if you will...

Micah

Posted by: JMD---------------------

Not baiting anybody. I sort of like Chad, but I'm just sick of his on-the-verge-of-tears excuses and whining. Be a man, Chad! Take your lumps and try harder next time. But we don't need to be drawn into your soap opera. Keep your mouth shut about that. But I guess in this reality-show world everybody likes to listen to people bicker and whine. Personally, it turns my stomach. I still respect Chad's heart and desire to win, I just wish he'd tell us a lot less about what's "inside the helmet." It's not prettty.

And while I'm on the subject: Bubba's latest interview disappointed me as well. He was doing so well trying to keep him arrogance and immaturity in check, but it slipped out again. So RC was holding him up, eh? What, he couldn't wait to get out front and crash his brains out? What an idiot! When you take a header like that, one that could easily have ended his career but for the intervention of a soft tuff block, you don't go talking about how fast you are. He also made the stupid comment that he doesn't care about points; that if he did care about points, he'd be in the lead now. First of all, any National racer who doesn't care about points is an idiot. The championship is what it's all about. But Bubba knows that. It's just sour grapes. "I didn't want that mean old championship anyway." Second, Bubba says that if he could just have gotten his bike started in St. Louis he'd be in the points lead. OK; but if RC's shock mount hadn't broken in St. Louis, through no fault of his own, he'd be 25 points farther ahead of everybody. Who was riding Bubba's bike when it crashed all those times?

Sheesh! What a bunch of babies these SX heroes are.

Wow.. someone peed in JMD's fruit loops this morning? LOL.

For the record, RC was hlding JS up at Dallas .. that's how Reed was able to hang

Posted by: JMD---------------------

I think that a lot of Bubba's problem is that he so badly wants to be thought of as "the fastest guy" that he lets that override his better judgment. He wins his heat race in dominating fashion, and he thinks he's done his job. "OK; I guess I showed them." Then he loses focus in the main. What's the difference anyway? Everybody knows he's the fastest guy. He still has some growing up to do.

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

So was RC's near boat-plant just "one of those things" or a bonehead move?

All 3 of them have crashes for the season, Reed has a few in practice and heat races, Ricky has 1 in the heat race and main, so maybe they all need some growing up to do.

That's pretty much my take, also.

The difference is that RC and CR crash trying to keep up with JS.

Posted by: JMD---------------------

JS crashes trying to keep up with the same guy.

Posted by: JMD---------------------

RC's crash? Bonehead move. I've already said that. RC has mostly been in "smart" mode since he took the points lead. That means ride fast, but not too fast. Stay close enough to the risk takers to take advantage of their inevitable mistakes. But smart mode only works if you stick with it. If just one time you let it all hang out for your ego or to keep the chatter boards happy, you risk losing all the advantages you built up in smart mode. That nearly happened to RC. He forgot the game plan and almost bought a boat and a farm at the same time. But he can still win the title in smart mode, as long as he beats Chad at least once. He doesn't have to beat Bubba at all, though he might, if Bubba crashes. But Bubba seems to ride better when the pressure is off. Here it's off -- he can't win unless disaster strikes Ricky again. So he may rocket off to a couple more wins. But he's as much as admitted that he can't win. That's why he says that the points don't mean much to him.

Posted by: Red Mamba---------------------

Atleast Reed should have convinced us more about racing with a grade 3 separation injury, which has never been acomplished before by any top rider in history, instead of calling the other races Bs. If he is crazy enough to race with a grade 3 separation injury the entire season, then why can't he race for a one time 100k prize money race ?

And every single time Bubbles starts his "big statement stuff", RC wins one..........."I'm the King of Daytona!" Hmmmm

Think maybe that was a script by the network?

Posted by: Someone---------------------

Does anyone have stats for who has the fastest lap times (practice, heat, or race) between the top 3 for 2006 SX? It seems lately JS has been like .5 - 1 sec faster each race.

Well...............James has not proven he is the "King of Daytona" (yet). Ricky may have also been approached to do that clip, but do we think he would have?.......or Chad, or LaRocco, or McGrath, or Stanton? Stewart has something to prove, and he needs to... with results. It's not about wins, it's about being a champ. Remember Bradshaw? Less talk, more walk. Seems like now he's walkin, but I'm burnt on the talkin. I think his talkin is his own worst enemy. But, it's winding up to be an exciting season, either way!
