I just got a 1994 KDX 200 - and needs some work- I have a problem starting when cold - It has spark - Once you get it fired it will start on the 1st kick- could this be bad reeds ?
I have the reed cage out and looks like the top of the reeds are hitting the Block surface- They could be Warped- will this make it hard to start ?
What reeds should I get for the KDX 200

I found the more my Air Screw was turned in from the recommended 1.5 turns out the hard it was to start, especially when cold. I got a slightly richer pilot, and turned the air screw back to the recommended 1.5 turns out. If you are going to replace the reeds on your bike do yourself a big favor and buy V Force 3 Reed Valves. Next to an after market exhaust, this was the biggest performance gain throughout the rpms I got.
