05 yz fork re-valve results

Hi,
I am looking to improve my forks on my new 05 yz250, I race hare scrambles, and pretty much just took a beating during the race, felt like there was no low speed or chop bump absorption at all, then thud as it blew through the stroke,
wondering what success anyone has had with re-valving, who you'd recommend, and what cost? Thanks

Wouldn't it be nice if the manufacturers realized that most of us don't race supercross?
Just a thought.
