Here's a cool story; John was working as an official or flagman or something at lions speedway, and Evel Knievel was there promoting his next crash. So Evel has the announcer’s mike giving the mom, apple pie and Harley-Davidson speech, and John commences to do Evel’s routine. You know the wheelies past the stands, speed runs, the stop at the top of the jump, the whole bit, and the stands going nuts for him to complete jump.
Nobody’s sure what pissed Evel off the most; this well-fed middle-aged guy copping his whole act, or the fact that he did it on a minibike, or the fact that John did it on a minibike with fifty pounds of Kookie in his lap.

Wow, that’s sad news. We’ll keep John in our prayers for sure. 
I just watched OAS this past weekend with my 12 year old daughter. We always have a good laugh during the desert racing part, especially John and Kookie and their pit stop sequence. Both my kids love that movie. It really is timeless………….you’d think they would want to watch Crusty Demons of Dirt part XII but they would rather watch OAS.
