'99 GasGas 270, Good first trials bike?

I am looking at getting a trials bike, but don't want to spend more than $1500. There is a 1999 GasGas 270 in the local paper for $1600. I know very little about trials bike. Would this make a good first trials bike? Is this a reasonable price? Trials bikes are very hard to come by in my area, so this one has me very interested. Thanks for any replies.

If it's clean it's a fair price, and will be a fun way to start. It's probably worth contacting Jim Cook at www.smackovermotorsports.com , he can tell you if there is any specific issues to watch on this bike, and he's a great source for Gas Gas parts as well. Jim is one of the GOOD GUYS.
