I just moved from NZ to London, sold my 03 CR250 now I need a new bike.
I'm thinking a two stroke I'm 95kg near 200 pounds so need a bike with good bottom end but also want a light easy to handle machine but don't want to spend to much money.
I really like the look of a KTM 200xc or a YZ250, I know these bikes are great in 05/06 but what about 99 or 2000, how old can I go before I really notice a drop in performance.
I'll do mx trail rides what ever I can find, won't race.
I want older because resale is better and I plan to resell after a year or two.

why not consider staying with honda? the 01 has the best bottom of almost any honda to date, and should be able to find one cheap, plus parts are easy to find online, loads of aftermarket etc... I switched from the 03cr to an 04rm and really like the rm, the bottom is much stronger. But if I were looking around the 2000 -01 I would def go back to honda.good luck.
