Big guy needs stiffer springs

Please help me with a question I am having a problem with . I am 6'1 - 290# and I have a 97 CR250 . I need to know on how stiff of spring rate I need to go . Any help would be great

It also would depend on whether you were going to leave your valving stock or not. At 290# you will probably want to have around 6.6-7.0 on the rear and .48-.52 on the frt. depending on what your abilities and type of riding your doing. With this 97 Aluminum framed bike, set-up(oil height & valving) is going to be real important with these stiff rates.
